Saint Preignan is a family story and the passion of a team!
In 1908, Louis Calas bought in Pouzolles 3 grapevine's hectares and a wine-growing house, to install his son Louis. In 1915, a little girl named Louise borden, but one year after, the war carried his father, and ended hopes of small business development. The war ended, Louise growned and took care of the maintenance of the family patrimony. His grandson, Jean-Claude developed the estate.

A domain under the gaze of Bacchus Saint Preignan. The Château de Saint Preignan
was built in a place called L'Etang. History tells us that the monks of Cassan besieged
the said L'Etang because of the richness of the soil. The cellar is indeed composed of blue clay more than 10 meters deep. Despite the hot, dry summers in the Languedoc, the Viognier, Chardonnay and Cinsault have their roots in this clay that continues to nourish the vines, avoiding water stress that is unfortunately too common on other plots.
